Pursuing the Right LevelFor You.

The US soccer pathway is not one-size-fits-all. Every athlete has a different academic profile, football background, and long-term goal.

1OF1 Talent helps players assess which routes may suit them best, from prep school and junior college to NAIA and NCAA options.

Education-led pathway

The goal is not to choose between the classroom and the pitch. It is to build a plan where both are measured, prepared, and protected.

Education Pathway

Football opens the door. Education shapes the future.

At 1OF1 Talent, education and football are treated as one pathway. Current support is centred on US scholarship and college routes, while the same student-athlete assessment model is being built to support future international education pathways as opportunities expand.

01

Why education matters

Football can create exceptional opportunities, but education gives student-athletes the foundation, confidence, and skills to build a successful future in sport or beyond it.

02

Scholarship pathways

Our current pathway work focuses on US school and college options where eligible players may combine football development with recognised qualifications and possible scholarship consideration.

03

Long-term opportunities

A degree and a strong academic record protect future choice, whether a player progresses professionally, studies further, coaches, works in sport, or builds a career outside football.

04

Football and academics together

Players are assessed as student-athletes. Football level, video, position, timing, grades, qualifications, English readiness, and school fit are reviewed together before any route is recommended.

Current offering

US-focused prep school, JUCO, NAIA, and NCAA route guidance. Future pathways will only be presented when the education, football, admissions, and family support standards can be assessed with the same level of care.

Opportunities

Opportunities for Our Athletes

US routes can open meaningful football and education possibilities, but outcomes depend on fit, eligibility, timing, school decisions, coach assessment, and available funding.

01

Competitive football within a school or college programme, subject to level, selection, and eligibility

02

School options that may align with the athlete's football level, academic record, age, and family goals

03

Academic development through recognised US school or college study when admitted and enrolled

04

Coach exposure through a clearer athletic and academic profile, highlight video, and communication plan

05

Team travel, facilities, and campus experiences that vary by school, division, and programme

06

Summer league, internship, or coaching options where eligible and available through the school or wider network

NIL Awareness

Understanding NIL

Name, Image and Likeness has changed the landscape for student-athletes. It gives athletes new ways to build their personal brand, grow their social media presence, and explore commercial opportunities during their college journey.

Rules can vary depending on school, state, visa status, and governing body, so athletes should always seek proper guidance before entering any commercial agreement.
